As I stated in the previous “Bug List”
assignment, I believe the Chick-Fil-a drive-through on Archer road is busy way too
often. Yes, I know that Chick-fil-a is extremely popular and that they’re known
for great customer service. However, whenever I do go there, it ends up taking
a while to get my food because it’s always so packed with cars no matter the
time of day. To solve this problem, I pitch the solution of adding a third lane
within the drive through area while also adding more employees to help combat this
new system. Chick-fil-a is already great under pressure when the drive-through
is packed. The workers never seem stressed and they do their best to make sure
every customer is satisfied. By adding a third lane within the drive through
area, I believe this will definitively help with the long line problem. The
Chick-fil-a on Archer has 2 lanes already and still somehow the line will wrap
around the building. By adding a third line, I believe this problem will go
away as it will space things out and I truly don’t think all 3 lanes will ever
be filled completely. If that happens, then Americans are simply eating Chick-fil-a
too much. All in all, Chick-fil-a is a top-notch fast food restaurant with little
flaws. The drive-thru process is my only issue and I feel that my solution will
help ease the problem by ultimately speeding up the time in which cars spend waiting
for their food.

Hello Connor, you are very correct when you say the chick fil a on Archer road is packed no matter the time of day. Your idea of fixing this problem by adding a third line sounds good right now but we both know that the third line will fill up as well. Even if that happens though it would still be solving the problem. I think you did a great job on this exercise.
ReplyDeleteHi Connor,
ReplyDeleteI think adding a third lane could have some repercussions however, one of them being beneficial to the rate at how fast the line goes. A third lane could possibly create more traffic and make it harder for customers to get out and into the drive thru lines. I would've never thought about adding another line so great job for thinking outside the box!
Hi, Connor Brennan!
ReplyDeleteI really like how you decided to solve the problem of the Chic-fil-a’s lack of a third lane. I feel that you should add another service than just adding the third lane. I was thinking maybe Chic-fil-a should have cars park in a designated area after they order and then those added employees that you hire would be able to walk the food out to those people’s cars! Thank you for sharing, Connor!
Here’s how I solved my problem if you’d like to take a look: https://kimmiepalo.blogspot.com/2019/06/selected-opportunity-75-percent-of.html
Connor:
ReplyDeleteThis is a problem that needs a solution no matter what Chick fil A you are visiting. While adding a third lane would prevent wrapping around the building, it seems to me it is only spreading out the issue. This could lead to more congestion and prevent customers from being able to exit the parking lot. Perhaps the solution should be in properly designing the parking lot with entrances that are better suited to allow more vehicles or drive through lanes. Possibly even numbering parking spaces that would allow for ordering and delivery like Sonic utilizes. Besides the solution, I do agree that the employees are always friendly.
Hey Connor! This is a great solving the problem blog post you got there. Chick fil a on Archer is annoyingly packed, but so are all the other Chick-fil-a's. Since this one is the most popular of all since its right off the highway, building an extra lane for drive through is a great idea. There is only one issue, what if that third lane gets full too? Will you have to build a fourth lane? Other than that, you did a great job!
