1)
Tenaciousness is a competency. What
are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the
requirements of this course?
To keep up with the requirements
of this course, I usually do all the assignments a week prior till when they
are due. Sometimes my commitment to my other class gets in the way of doing
this. However, by doing all my assignments early it gives me the best chance to
turn in all the assignments with the best quality of work.
2)
Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk
about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you
through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past
two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
In the beginning of the semester, I almost
gave up and dropped the course. My other class seemed very demanding from the initial
look of its syllabus and I wasn’t sure I was going to be able both classes in addition
to having a job. However, I found a way
to balance it all and I’m glad I didn’t drop the class in the end.
3) Three tips. What
are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the
skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?
Tip #1: Get assignments done early
Tip #2: Ask questions if confused
Tip #3: Watch lectures to do well
on the Cupcake assignments

Hi, Connor.
ReplyDeleteTo not give up, I believe we must learn to love what we do, don’t be afraid of failure or success, and be willing to keep learning. We determine our reality. I start my day strong. I exercise because it’s a natural feel good drug. I use books, audio and videos to overload my brain with positivity.

ReplyDeleteLike you, at the beginning of the semester I almost dropped the course. It was more work than I had anticipated however it feels good to stick with it with the positive end goal in mind. I agree with you that working on assignments early is the key to keep up with the course. Watching the lectures is also important, not only for the cupcakes, but in order to properly complete each assignment.
