2A- Buglist

Things that “Bug” me:

1)     The lack of parking options at the University of Florida during a normal week of school.

Why it exists: UF wants students to buy a million different decals in order to park in a certain area. I also believe that UF simply just doesn’t want to invest more into parking garages.

2)     The long drive-through line at Chick-fil-A on Archer Rd.

Why it exists: Chick-fil-A is universally loved and therefore that leads to them being busy all day with the drive through area being affected the most.

3)     When the baggers at Publix puts too many things in one plastic bag and therefore my bag breaks and everything falls out leaving a mess.

Why it exists: The plastic bags are used so that customers can safely transport their items to their car/house. The problem is that when too many heavy items are in a bag, it’ll break and leave the customer frustrated.

4)     Traffic on game-days at UF.

Why it exists: Gainesville closes University Ave during game days and this leads to the city of Gainesville being packed just about everywhere with main roads being closed.

5)     Customers who just leave their food for someone to pick up when eating at fast-food restaurants or cafes rather than getting up and throwing their food away themselves.

Why it exists: People are lazy and know someone else will pick it up because it’s their “job”.

6)     People who talk during movies at a theater

Why it exists: People are sometimes inconsiderate of others and will talk while the movie is playing simply because they can.

7)     People who use their phone while a movie is playing at a theater.

Why it exists:  People may be not interested in the movie and will therefore start using their phone even though it’s extremely inconsiderate of others and can be a distraction.

8)     Teachers who assign textbooks even though they aren’t really needed.

Why it exists: Teachers genuinely think that students are going to read a 700-page textbook when in reality they’ll do anything else besides that to do well in the class. (Smokin Notes, lecture videos, PowerPoints, Study Edge.)

9)     When any drive-through restaurant messes up my order.

Why it exists: Errors happen, and this leads to orders being wrong.

10)  When you tell a hairstylist how you want your hair to be cut and they completely ignore it

Why it exists:  Miscommunication between the customer and hairstylist.

11)  Surging Uber prices

Why it exists: When everyone in a particular area is in need of an Uber, prices are jacked up to an insane rate.

12)  Slow drivers

Why it exists: Some people are a little too cautious and will literally go under the speed-limit when it’s not necessary.

13)  People who can’t take a joke

Why it exists: Some individuals are a little too sensitive or lack a sense of humor.

14)  Individuals who take up 2 parking spots for their car

Why it exists: People are inconsiderate and don’t want to risk others possibly damaging their car.

15)  Thunderstorms while I’m driving

Why it exists: Mother nature is unpredictable and unfortunately no one knows how to drive when its pouring rain.

16)  Long lines for rides at amusement parks.

Why it exists: Roller-coaster rides can only hold a certain amount of people each time it goes. This then causes a massive line as hundreds of people line up for a ride that only holds 10 people each trip.

17)  Bad restaurant waiters

Why it exists: They may be busy doing something else, but they’re main priority should be taking care of their customers.

18)  Gainesville Towing

Why it exists: Since there’s no where to park in this town, towing companies benefit from this significantly as they tow cars left and right 24/7.

19)  Miami Heat Basketball

Why it exists: With Dwyane Wade now retired, the franchise’ future is unclear and as a lifelong fan, this is worrisome.

20)  Restaurants/Establishments that only sell Pepsi products.

Why it exists: Not everyone is sponsored by Coca-Cola and therefore that leads to companies selling second-rate products. (Coke> Pepsi).

Reflection:

This list was sort of hard to make. I realized a lot of things in the world bother me, so I just listed what came off the top of my head. From surging Uber prices to traffic, my list encompasses many things and a variety of subjects. I hope you all enjoy and maybe we share come common some pet-peeves.
